Hottest Restaurant Menus Trends in 2012

The National Restaurant Association just released its anticipated "Hottest Restaurant Menus Trends in 2012" survey.

Nearly 1,800 professional gave their opinion on culinary items that will be a "hot trend" on restaurant menus in 2012.

And the news couldn’t be better for ice cream shops owners who have been making their own ice cream or plan to open an ice cream shop soon!

The “Artisan/ House-Made Ice Cream” sub-category came up at #1 in the Desserts Category and #15 in the Top 20 Trends.

Also, the “Gelato/Sorbet” subcategory came up at #6 in the Desserts Category and appeared in the What’s Hot list.

The overall survey shows that consumers want fresh, healthy, and local food.
